Whether you just discovered that positive test, are coping with early pregnancy symptoms, are looking to meet other expectant parents, or helping encourage birth, our team provides health and wellness services dedicated to you and your growing family.

To Have a Healthy Pregnancy

Maintaining your well-being in pregnancy is multidimensional. Discover the various supports Nest offers for your prenatal needs.

Our Registered Massage Therapist specializes in prenatal massage. Massage has been shown help in pregnancy by:

  • reducing pain
  • aiding in sleep
  • encouraging relaxation and stress reduction
  • helping mental health

Our Registered Dietitian provides nutrition counselling to ensure you are meeting your nutritional needs in pregnancy including:

  • food aversions
  • iron level support
  • gestational diabetes
  • weight gain/loss

Our Registered Acupuncturist supports pregnancy through treatments using multiple modalities including needling, cupping, moxibustion, Gua sha, and tui na massage. Acupuncture treatments can address:

  • hormonal regulation
  • reducing pain and discomfort
  • assist in managing nausea
  • encouraging optimal fetal positioning

Physical fitness is an important part of a healthy pregnancy. Our personal trainer can help you to strengthen and prepare your body for birth.

Our yoga classes offer breathing exercises and assist you in getting in tune with your changing body.

To Connect & Learn

Nest offers a variety of 1-on-1 sessions, classes, workshops, and social groups to help you build your knowledge and village in pregnancy.

Our Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) offers prenatal lactation and feeding support sessions to help you build a strong foundation for your upcoming feeding journey.

Our Certified Sleep Consultant offers educational sessions in group workshops and private sessions to learn about newborn, infant, and toddler sleep to help you understand how to best support your baby’s sleep (and therefore your own).

En Root is Nest’s social/support group for expectant parents. It is facilitated by our resident doulas, and includes guided discussions, guest speakers, activities, and peer support to help you connect with yourself and otherwise on your pregnancy journey.

To Help with Birth

As you near the end of your pregnancy, you may require some additional support. Our team is experienced in supporting late-pregnancy needs.

Our Acupuncturist is experienced in

  • treating late pregnancy and early labour pain, discomfort, mental health, and emotions
  • encouraging labour to start
  • using moxibustion to turn breech and transverse babies

Our Registered Massage Therapist is skilled in providing relief in late-pregnancy, addressing:

  • pelvic pain and discomfort
  • lower back pain and discomfort
  • anxiety, stress, emotions
  • mobility and flexibility
  • swelling/edema

Classes, workshops, and information sessions led by our perinatal educators can help to prepare you for vaginal or cesarean births.
